UPDATE: Calvert Bank Robbed at Gunpoint

On Thursday, Febr. 11, at approximately 9:50 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the Maryland  Bank and Trust, located in Solomons. 

The unknown suspect then robbed bank employees at gunpoint.  This male then fled the scene on foot. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank and left without further incident. 

The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing beige canvas work pants, a hooded beige canvas jacket, a camouflage face mask and a black stocking cap.

The Maryland State Police and Calvert County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene a short time later. This case has been assigned to the Calvert Investigative Team for further investigation.

Police in Calvert County received a 911 call around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 for the report of armed robbery. Units from the Maryland State Police responded to the Maryland Bank and Trust located on Holiday Drive in Solomons to discover the bank had been robbed at gunpoint.

The bank robbery suspect is being described as a white male wearing Carhart style bib overalls with a jacket, a black stocking cap and a mask brandishing a handgun.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
