Single Vehicle Accident with Entrapment and Fly-Out

On Wednesday, Feb. 24 at approximately 4:54 a.m., emergency units from Bay District, Lexington Park and Second District responded to a reported single car accident near 45651 Drayden Rd. in Valley Lee. When first responders arrived, there was a 17 year-old female trapped in her vehicle.

According to witnesses on the scene, the female was traveling on Flat Iron Rd. heading toward Drayden when she apparently lost control of her Chevrolet Silverado pick-up and hit a utility pole support wire and then careened into a tree.

The crash victim complained that she could not feel her legs and suffered from head trauma and multiple contusions. After being extracted from the vehicle, the crash victim was transported to the landing zone by ambulance where she was flown out by Trooper 2 Medivac helicopter to PG Shock Trauma.

The accident is still under investigation at this time. No word on the condition of the crash victim.
