PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - During the week of January 4 – January 10, deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1288 calls for service throughout the community.

Damaged Property: 21-1061
On January 7, 2021, Cpl. Curtin responded to Jendan Way, Prince Frederick, MD, for the report of destruction of property.  Upon his arrival, the complainant advised sometime between January 1, 2021 and January 7, 2021, an unknown suspect(s) spray painted their vehicle.  The estimated value of damaged property is $800.

Damaged Property: 21-1213
On January 8, 2021, Deputy Wood responded to Summer City Blvd, Chesapeake Beach, MD, for the report of destruction of property.  The complainant advised, an unknown subject(s) damaged two Christmas decorations, a flower pot and their vehicle in the middle of the night.  The total value of damaged property is $1,875.

Damaged Property: 21-1541
On January 10, 2021, Deputy Gilmore responded to the Town of North Beach Boardwalk for the report of damaged property to the Christmas tree.  The complainant advised, two unknown suspects removed a panel from the tree and threw it into the bay in addition to damaging ornaments on the tree.  The estimated damaged property is $1,000.

Theft: 21-819
On January 6, 2021, Deputy Kwitowski arrived at the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office for the report of a theft.  The complainant advised, on December 23, 2020, at approximately 2:00 p.m. a package had been delivered to a residence on Adelina Road, Prince Frederick, MD.  Upon retrieving the package, the complainant noticed an unknown suspect(s) had opened the package and a gold ring had been taken.  The value of stolen property is $50.

Theft: 21-989
On January 7, 2021, Deputy Anderson responded to Broomes Island Road, Saint Leonard, MD for the report of a theft.  Upon arrival, the complainant advised about a month ago an unknown suspect(s) stole two goats from the farm.  Currently the value of stolen property is unknown.

Theft: 21-1006
On January 7, 2021, Deputy E. Payne responded to Palisades Drive, Dunkirk, MD, for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The complainant advised an unknown suspect(s) stole their handicapped placard from their vehicle while in the Dunkirk Safeway parking lot.  The value of stolen property is estimated to be $1.


Arrests:

Marci Bethany Pitt, 24

On January 5, 2021, Deputy Plant responded to the Calvert County Detention Center for the report of destruction of property.  Upon his arrival, he made contact with the complainants who advised an inmate identified as Marci Bethany Pitt (24) had broken a sprinkler head as well as damaged a mattress in one of the holding cells.  The value of damaged property is estimated to be $200.  Ms. Pitt is being charged with Malicious Destruction of Property less than $1,000.
