Friday, February 6 – First Free Friday
5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The museum is open and free to the public with docents available in every gallery. Back by popular demand for their fifth consecutive year is the Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition (ABC) performing at 6:30 p.m. in the Harms Gallery. ABC uses banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass fiddle to bring both traditional and contemporary compositions and tight three part harmonies and bluesy solos to fans wherever they play.

10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Sniff, Touch, Taste and Listen – SenseSational! Free drop-in program for toddlers 18 months – 3 years old and their caregivers.

Sundays, February 1, 8, 15 and 22 – Highlight Tours
Celebrate Black History month with highlight tours in the Maritime History Hall at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Free with museum admission.

Saturday, February 14 – Secchi Disk Saturday
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Beginning this month, make your own Secchi Disk on the second Saturday of each month. Secchi disks measure turbidity, or water clarity, one important measure of the health of our waterways. $1 donation requested with museum admission.

Monday, February 16 – Maryland Symbols Day
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fun for all ages. Explore the Maryland state symbols that we host right here at the museum! See the state boat, reptile, fossil, fish and more. Participate in crafts and games, hear skipjack talks at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and turtle talks at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Free with museum admission. 

Thursday, February 26 – Little Minnows
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Things that Go Bump in the Night. Bat’s sonar, owl’s big ears, and raccoon’s sensitive paws – learn how animals use their senses to navigate the night. For children ages 3 to 5 years old and their caregivers. Free for CMM members; $5 for non-members.

Saturday, February 28 – Toy Boat Building Workshop
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Make your own toy boat in the Maritime History Hall. $2 donation requested with museum admission.

Saturday, February 28 – Jewelry Trunk Show
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Museum Store will feature Michelle Pressler’s collection of modern heirlooms inspired by the Bay. Light refreshments will be served. Free gift with purchase. For more information contact the Museum Store at 410-326-2750.
