Man Arrested Following Several Failed Attempts at Paying Child Support

On Nov. 15, 2010 Harry Reid Frederick admitted to being in contempt for falling in arrears for a significant amount of r child support and sentenced to 179 days at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center with authorized work release.

His sentence was suspended upon the condition that the he pay a purge of $250.00 by Dec. 15, 2010. Mr. Frederick was ordered to appear if the $250.00 was not paid in full.

After being found in contempt again, the court ordered the defendant to pay purge of $250.00 by Dec. 28, 2010 or report to at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by 6 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2010.  On Jan. 3, 2011 after failing to pay or show up at the at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center an additional warrant for arrest and detention of an escaped prisoner was issued.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Officers Child Support Unit apprehended and arrested Mr. Frederick on Saratoga Drive in Lexington Park.
