Foot Chase, Assault on Officer Leads to Suspect's Arrest

On January 6, 2011, deputies responded to a residence in Great Mills for a Trespass/Protective Order Violation.  Information was received that Izella E. Bush, 42 of Great Mills, who was wanted on a Violation for Probation Warrant, was at the residence in violation of a Protective Order. 

Upon arrival, officers located Bush, who failed to comply with their orders and shoved Deputy Boyer. Bush was able to escape from the residence and a foot pursuit ensued.  Bush fled to a nearby residence and forced open the front door.  He was subdued outside the residence after a short struggle.

Charges pending against Bush include: Burglary – Fourth Degree, two counts of Second-Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest.
