The Miché Fambro Quartet to Perform at Lil' Jay's By the Bay

An evening with the Miché Fambro Quartet promises a banquet of musical flavors. Miché lends his rich vocals to favorite jazz standards, then gets down to some original soul stylings and Latin grooves, interspersed with Miché's own genre-blending musical masterpieces. Miché is joined by the talented and versatile Mark Foster (bass), Milton Taylor Pace (keys), and Jon Laine (drums). Audiences, reviewers and radio stations are discovering a musician with both talent and character. Senior Editor, David Fricke, of Rolling Stone Magazine calls Miché a "quiet storm - a delicate blend of acoustic chamber folk, Brazilian tropicalismo, and metaphysical introspection…beautiful, earnest, soulful." Words and Music Editor, Michelle Picardo, of Freetime Magazine (Western New York's Arts and Entertainment Guide) wrote "On Fambro's latest, Café Vignettes, he continues to create powerful stories, sung to stripped-down arrangements that combine acoustic, alternative, folk and even some funk into his unique sound. Another interesting aspect of this CD are the real "stories," the narratives that Miché throws in about life on the road as an artist, or simply, a man. A stellar offering…" Miché's music was recently aired by the following radio stations: - Michael Buckley's "The Sunday Brunch" program on WRNR 103.1 FM - Andy Och's "Local Lowdown" program on WRYR 97.5 FM (who is bringing Miché live in studio to perform 9 pm on February 17, 2008 - Mary Cliff's "Traditions" program on WAMU 88.5 FM - Carl David's jazz program on WMET 1160 AM Miché was recently selected to be a featured performer at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Tennessee February 21 - 24, 2008.
