Southern Maryland Drivers in general

I don't know how many people read these letters, and I am almost afraid to start a thread on this, because I'm sure just about everyone would have a "pet peeve" to talk about. It has been two years now that I started my new job here in Lexington Park.

I am a government contractor, however, my office is just off base. I am amazed everyday both coming to work and driving home the amount of people that: 1. Don't care 2. Stupid 3. Just plain oblivious to any surroundings or any other human beings in this world. I try everyday to have patience and keep myself calm but when an "idiot" pulls right out in front of me and I have to slam on the brakes or when people can't seem to "yeild" into traffic properly and again I'm slamming on brakes to keep from hitting them. I just want to throttle these people!

Running red lights, or stopping before it hits Yellow?? So many things, perhaps it would be nice to start a forum on this, get it out online before you strangle somebody! And my last one? The BOOM BOOM BOOM of the woofer or tweeter or whatever the heck it is that rattle the screws out of a car 1/2 a mile away. YOU ARE SO COOL, but you know what? I DON'T CARE.

People have forgotten basic respect for each other and that scares me. I realize there is more traffic than these roads can handle. But I think there are a lot of "people" that need to go to a refresher course on the basics of driving and then another class to learn basic civilities towards other human beings.

Thank you for allowing me express my feelings. I feel better already!
