Wonderful companion dog! Darla was rescued when she was pregnant and had eight beautiful beagle puppies on September 21, 2008. They have all been adopted! Now it is Darla's turn to find a forever home. She is a beautiful, sweet, healthy beagle. A fenced in yard is mandatory. No electric fences please. The beagle breed is prone to exploring once they get a scent that is why a fence is required. A mature couple that would commit to leash walking would be considered. Darla would do best as an only pet. She loves her people so much, she does not want to share affection with any other dog. Darla LOVES to just be in your lap! She may do well with a more laid back non alpha dog. Darla is crate trained, house trained, extremely affectionate to people, gets along well with children, and very intelligent. Darla is completed vetted, healthy and ready to go home and make someone a very happy pet guardian. NOTE: Darla is not housed at Fishing Creek Kennel, the Humane Society facility. Please call 301-233-6440 to schedule an appointment to meet Darla!
