Rip's rescue friends describe him as a "character." He is a healthy approxmately 14 months old neutered, red golden retriever who weighs about 50 pounds. He is one of over 75 golden retrievers rescued from a puppy mill type situation. He's a very smart little guy who adapted quickly to life indoors with a family. He walks nicely on a flexilead and LOVES his daily walks, gets along well with cats and other dogs and is very interested in children. He loves chewies and toys and is catching on to the idea of retrieving. He has full run of the house, and other than ocaissonaly taking our underwear or shoes out through the doggie door, he hasn't chewed up anything. He's a fun little guy who chases leaves and gets up each morning raring to start the new day. His new family will have another dog for him to play with and someone who is home part of the day or has a dog walker come in mid day. He also needs a fence, not so much to keep him with you, but to allow him the freedom he needs to explore as he quickly discovered the dog door at his foster family's home and enjoys the freedom to come and go. His special family will patiently introduce him to his new world and be willing to work with him to transition to their home.
