
Dyson and McKay DebateLeonardtown - 10/31/2006 By Anna Bedford In the race for State Senate for District 29 (lower Calvert, all of St. Mary’s and lower Charles County) incumbent Roy Dyson (D) is facing current President of the St. Mary's County Commissioners, Tommy McKay (R).
McKay completes his first term as President of the St. Mary’s County Commissioners this November. McKay is also a delegate to the Republican National Convention and has worked in various managerial roles with his family’s businesses, McKay’s Food and Drug Company and Woodburns. Both men are lifelong residents of St. Mary’s County. Dyson was born in Great Mills and graduated from Great Mills High School. McKay graduated from Ryken High School. Both took classes at the University of Maryland for a period. |
