2010 Solomons Offshore Grand Prix

Offshore racing fans can look forward to the 1st Annual Solomons Offshore Grand Prix sponsored by Bayside Chevrolet-Toyota. Fans and spectators will get a firsthand look at the boats as they tour the pits on Friday and Saturday. Dozens of boats will compete in this amazing race. Races will occur on Sunday, October 3. Races can be viewed from Solomons Riverwalk.

This Colonial Revival brick house was designed in 1932 by noted female architect Gertrude Sawyer. Depart from Warriors Rest and enjoy a scenic Harvest Moon tour of Parkers Creek. Trip will be from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. to see the full moon rising! Reservations are required. Please note that canoe trips are physically strenuous, requiring paddling for three hours (frequently against wind and tides), and may require participants to help carry a canoe for up to one-quarter mile over sand to access the creek.

Looking for something SPOOKtactular to do for Halloween? Bring the family to the Garden for a sale and spook-free daytime trick-or-treating event. Non-profit organizations, outreach programs, local businesses and entrepreneurs participate by decorating their space in a haunted theme, dressing in holiday costumes and handing out goodies. Free art activities provided. Dress the whole family and enjoy trick-or-treating in the garden. $1 per person donation benefits a charity.
