First Ever Youth Technology Summit a Success

On Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m., the College of Southern Maryland, Leonardtown campus hosted the first ever Youth Technology Summit. About 300 people attended the event organized by Alland Leandre of Vyalex – a contractor here in St. Mary’s County. See the full story here.

The event was co-sponsored by C&M Solutions, Patriots Technology Training Center, LLC and CSM, and gave high school, college and middle school students a chance to explore the fields of health care, science, technology, engineering and math.

Carter, 8, said the thing he had the most fun with at the summit was the Flight Simulation.	Charles County Commissioner Collins discusses the need for more technolgy education in today's shools.

Trevor and his daughter Tamika who attends Great Mills High School said she'd like to have a career in Nursing.	Javin, Tevon and Brandon. Brandon, 17, says his favorite part of the night was the CO2 demonstration.
