Dyson is now serving his third term as State Senator, and previously served in the House of Delegates, when he was elected at 25, and later served in the House of Representatives.

McKay completes his first term as President of the St. Mary’s County Commissioners this November. McKay is also a delegate to the Republican National Convention and has worked in various managerial roles with his family’s businesses, McKay’s Food and Drug Company and Woodburns.

Both men are lifelong residents of St. Mary’s County. Dyson was born in Great Mills and graduated from Great Mills High School. McKay graduated from Ryken High School. Both took classes at the University of Maryland for a period.
