Vehicle Flips with Passenger Trapped Inside
Vehicle Flips with Passenger Trapped Inside
PARK HALL - 8/15/2008
|
Just before 8 p.m. last night, a car overturned and was smoking on state Route 5 between Willows Road and Thompson's Orchard Lane with a passenger trapped inside. A white Lincoln, four door sedan with three occupants struck a pole and flipped over during last night's string of thunderstorms. Police shut down state Route 5 just north of Thompson's Orchard Lane in order to extract the trapped victim from the car. Due to the strong storms, helicopters were not available to fly the patients from the scene. Two of the victims, both male priority two, were taken from the scene by Lexington Park Rescue Squad ambulances. The third passenger in the vehicle signed a refusal of medical attention. SMECO was called in to repair the damaged pole and state Route 5 was opened again after a tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene.
