Talent for Hospice, an annual talent show for school-aged children hosted by the Friends of Calvert Hospice, seeks acts for show held on Saturday, August 2 at 3 p.m. at Huntingtown High School. Talents may include anything you think is entertaining. However, due to safety concerns, no gymnastics or stunts are permitted. Registration is required. Download the form at www.calverthospice.org or call (410) 535-0892 or (301) 855-1226 to register. Registration includes an award for each participant. Don’t miss the show! Come support the young talent in our community. Tickets at the door are $5.00. All proceeds benefit the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House. Talent for Hospice is organized in memory of Brianna Perry, a three year old girl who loved to tap dance. She was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor, a cancer of the kidneys, in October of 2000. Even through her difficult radiation and chemotherapy treatments, tap class was one of Brianna’s joys. Brianna passed away on February 24, 2001. The show is organized by Brianna’s family as a celebration of her life. Visit www.calverthospice.org for more information or call (410) 535-0892 or (301) 855-1226. |
