St. George's Church Damaged by Lightning Strike, Fire
VALLEY LEE - 6/21/2008
|
At 9:40 p.m. June 14, volunteer firefighters from Second District and Bay District were dispatched to a building house fire on St. Georges Church Road in Valley Lee.
By 9:50 p.m. fire officials on the scene determined the fire was coming from a gas line, and by 10 p.m. the flames were knocked down. Apparently lighting struck the building near a gas line, causing the blaze which left extensive damage. The Maryland State Fire Marshals Office has not released details on this fire. See slideshow below for images from the scene. |
