Truck Stolen; Random Destruction Reported

A victim reported to DFC Shawn Morder that his dark green 1998 Chevy Cheyenne pickup truck was stolen from High Point Court in Owings between May 31 and June 1.   The truck is valued at $6,000.  DFC Morder is continuing the investigation.


Vandals caused $500 in damage to county signs at the Lower Marlboro Road pier in Owings.  It is unknown when the damage occurred.  Three green metal barrels were also spray painted.  The signs as well as the barrels had white swastikas spray painted on them.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Unknown suspects threw bricks at a vehicle while it was parked at a home on Flag Harbor Blvd. in St. Leonard between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. on May 31.

The damage is estimated at $1,020.  Anyone with information may contact Dep. Jason Lord at 410-535-2800.


DFC David Gatton responded to 5th Street in North Beach in response to a destruction of property call.  Two victims advised that they each suffered $300 in damage to their vehicles after unknown suspects broke the windows.  The damage occurred sometime overnight between May 25 and 26. Anyone with information can contact Gatton at 410-535-2800.


A victim advised Dep. Christopher McDonough that unknown suspects caused $400 in damage to the passenger side window of his vehicle.  It appears the damage may have been caused by a pellet gun.  The damage occurred between May 28 at 10:30 p.m. and May 29 at 10:30 a.m.


A victim reported to Dep. Andrew Clas that unknown suspects entered his shed and stole a yellow and green Yardman weed whacker, valued at $100.  The theft occurred on Gringo Lane in Lusby between May 23 and 24.  Dep. Clas is continuing the investigation.
