Saturday, May 24th saw the area’s first “green” car dealership with the grand opening ceremonies at the all new Toyota of Southern Maryland and Team Hyundai. Patrons were treated to visual and ecologically friendly wonders as they were introduced to the facility.
As reported earlier by The Bay Net, innovative building technology was used in the construction of the new dealership’s home. In addition to construction techniques, the dealer also uses natural lighting instead of electricity and recycled oil from its own service department to provide fuel for heat. Patrons were treated to a wide-open lounge area and could sample the carwash, which uses a revolutionary technique to recycle water, using only 8 gallons per wash. Those in attendance also were able to take advantage of free wireless internet, flat screen TVs, a child’s play area, covered service drive, a café, and over 600 parking spaces. Be sure to stay tuned to The Bay Net to see who wins the Scion on the 31st.
