Hollywood Man Charged With Critically Injuring Baby

St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations Detectives and Washington Metropolitan Police arrested Ryan Thomas Woodford, 24, of Hollywood, in Washington DC on Tuesday on a warrant for first-degree Child Abuse and second-degree Assault. The arrest was the result of a May 15 incident which occurred at Woodford’s home, where a 2 month old child, Woodford had care and custody of received fractured bones and a head injury, BCI detectives report. The child is listed in critical condition at Children’s Hospital and Woodford is currently incarcerated in the Washington DC Jail waiting extradition back to St. Mary’s County. BCI Investigations is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. |
