On April 25 at 4:22 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s Office J. Dodge was patrolling the parking lot of the Dash-In located at 2007 Smallwood Drive West in Waldorf when he observed Jarvis Jermaine Callicutt, 22, of Nashville, Tenn., exit the store with a handgun in a holster clipped to his belt.

Officers stopped Callicutt and determined he had a Tennessee handgun permit that had been revoked. He was arrested for the handgun violation.

A subsequent search of his vehicle revealed he and a passenger in the car, Jermie Edward Reese, 22, of Fort Washington, were in possession of marijuana in a sufficient quantity to indicate the intent to distribute.

Callicutt and Reese were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Callicutt was also charged with possession of a handgun. They were being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending appearances before a district court commissioner.
