I think the story goes like this:

... Once upon a time the king(s) attempted to use the county and state taxpayer’s money to build a baseball stadium in the tiny hamlet of Hughesville without regard for the feelings of the local residents. A spokesperson for that ill-fated project told the local peasants (citizens) “it’s coming here whether you want it or not”. The citizens revolted and threatened to overthrow the king(s). It seems that the citizens thought that they lived in a democracy and representative government, with a voice in forming their own fate.

A while later the king(s) relented. The king(s) used money from the king(s) treasury to form a citizen’s advisory committee and to pay a consultant a large bag of gold to develop a plan for rebuilding the hamlet. It appeared that the king(s) learned a lesson. The plan called for a pedestrian friendly business district within the hamlet’s priority funding area. The king(s) was pleased with the plan and blessed it. And the citizens of Hughesville lived happily ever after.

But wait, while the citizens were sleeping the empire devised a plan to devour the hamlet using the death star (rezoning) that is often approved by kings and rulers to pillage and plunder the citizenry. Sometimes empires resort to Trojan horses; offering gifts (donated land for charitable organizations), to persuade the king(s).

The local citizenry is once again, up in arms, united in their desire to keep their hamlet from turning into the truck stop that is looming. For once Pandora’s Box is opened, it cannot be closed. All the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men couldn’t put…..
