Axe-Swinger Chops Up House, Victim Escapes

On April 11 at 3:48 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Huntington Circle for the report of a burglary and assault. Investigation revealed three males and a female entered the residence armed with an ax and confronted the victim, an 18-year-old man. One of the suspects swung the ax at the victim while the other suspects tried to restrain him. The victim managed to escape to a neighbor’s residence to call police. The suspects struck the victim’s television with the ax and the fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. The suspects are described as being black and between 14 and 20 years old.
