At 4:35 p.m. Thursday a van a passenger car collided in a T-bone crash on Route 235 in Lexington Park near Gate 1 of Patuxent Naval Air Station.

Three people were hurt in the crash, including two who were flown from the scene by two Maryland State Police helicopters.

A 7-year-old child and a female in her 20s were flown to Children’s Medical Center and MedStar Hospital, respectively. The child was flown due to the mechanism of the crash. The woman was flown with chest and leg injuries. Both hospitals are in D.C.

A Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance took another child, reportedly 8-years-old, to St. Mary’s Hospital for observation.
