'Hate Crime' Vandalism Hasn't Lost its Popularity

At 7:04 p.m. Jan. 8, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to General Smallwood Middle School located at 4990 Indian Head Highway in Indian Head for the report of a hate crime. Investigation revealed suspects wrote a racially offensive term on the windshield of a truck parked behind the school. The suspects also shattered the glass in the school’s front door. The incident occurred approximately 6:30 p.m. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-743-2222 or Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Officer M. Tyner is investigating. |
