One Flown After Pegg Road Crash
LEXINGTON PARK - 12/12/2007

Shortly before noon on Monday, police and volunteer rescuers responded to a two vehicle crash on Pegg Road in Lexington Park. Volunteer firefighters and rescue squad personnel from Bay District and Lexington Park arrived to find three people injured with one person trapped in a vehicle, Firefighters immediately went to work freeing the trapped female driver, while rescue squad personnel tended to the other two injured. The driver was freed within nine minutes and a Maryland State Police helicopter was dispatched, which arrived from the hangar at St. Mary’s Airport by 12:15 p.m. A male and a female were taken by two Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulances to St. Mary’s Hospital. The trapped female was taken to Prince Georges Hospital by Trooper 7 helicopter. Firefighters cleared the scene by 12:45 p.m. See slideshow below for images from the scene. |
