St. Leonard was renamed St. Lynyrd for one night on Friday, as Skynyrd put on a rocking show; which included a heartfelt memorial to wounded soldiers from Walter Reed attending the show as VIPs, and to all veterans.
Below is a dispatch from Kelly Allen, a Bay Net reader who won two tickets to see Lynyrd Skynyrd in action. Be sure to check out the slideshow below, click on each image for a larger view.

We had a blast!

Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked the house, playing all of the classic songs that we grew up knowing and loving.

Their tribute "Red, White and Blue", dedicated to the active troops, veterans and their special VIP guests was truly heartfelt, you knew that it was genuine gratitude, you could hear it in their voices.

It was a special moment to reflect and appreciate the men and women that put their lives on the line everyday for our safety and freedom.

We sang and danced to every song, and met many interesting people along the way, too. Thanks again for the opportunity to see one of my favorite bands perform; they put on one heck of a show that won't be forgotten.
