With a win last Thursday evening over Good Counsel, the Ryken Knights moved in to the WCAC Championship for the first time in school history. The Knights had a battle from Good Counsel in the beginning of the first period. With 29 seconds left in the first half the Knights would pull ahead to a 9-6 lead over the Falcons. Ryken looked like they had found their fire as they took the field in the second half. Both teams would score a goal, and increase the physical side in the third quarter. As the fourth quarter ended the Knights started to celebrate their 13-7 victory as well as a chance to play DeMatha Monday at College Park for the WCAC Championship. Monday at 7pm the Ryken Knights will take on a DeMatha team that is hungry to avenge their regular season lose. A game that saw Ryken beat a very good DeMatha team 17-8. Look for a great game from both teams and a closer score in this one.
