Registration Volunteers Trained at GOP Office

On April 10, Calvert County Election Board Registrar Kristen Scott visited the new Calvert Republican headquarters in Prince Frederick and trained 11 people as certified voter registration (VR) volunteers. The local GOP is gearing up for Super Saturday, April 27, a statewide Republican voter registration effort.  VR teams plan to visit unregistered and unaffiliated residents of neighborhoods in Dunkirk, North Beach, Prince Frederick and Solomons.

At present, Calvert's 59,174 voters are 39.6 percent Democrat, 39.7 percent Republican and 20.7 percent Other. 
The Calvert Election Board staff will also train VR volunteers at their office, 30 Duke Street (lower level), Prince Frederick. Call ahead
