Police Investigating Shooting at Clements Party

St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department officers responded on February 9 at 12:45 a.m. to the 24000 Block of Jenny Lynn Lane in Clements for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers learned there was a party at a private residence. During the party an unknown black male pulled out a handgun and fired shots striking a 23-year-old male. The victim was treated and released from St. Mary’s Hospital. The suspect had fled prior to police arrival. The Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to the scene and has assumed the investigation.
