The Commissioners of the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission announce that Jacquelyn Meiser will be stepping away from her duties as the executive director effective January 14, 2013. As of that date, Meiser will fill the position of general counsel/public & government affairs officer. Her decision was based on her desire to focus on the legal functions and responsibilities of the commission and obtain a more flexible schedule. She was selected from a field of highly qualified applicants. The commissioners respect Meiser’s decision and commend and thank her for the level of commitment and professionalism she has demonstrated in leading the commission for the past four years. They look forward to working with her in her new role. Daniel F. Ichniowski, P.E. will serve as the acting director, effective January 14, 2013.
