Two Busted for CDS Possession

On Dec. 21, Cpl. D. Mills stopped Blake Sumner Dotson, 21 of Mechanicsville, for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration plates.Darren Robert McCauley, Jr., 20 of Mechanicsville was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.As Mills was speaking with Dotson he detected an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle.A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed suspected marijuana and controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.Dotson and McCauley were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
