Mechanicsville Man Caught With Home-Made Prescription For Oxycodone

At approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday, Sunday July 23, Dfc. Michael Worry responded to Target in California for a reported prescription fraud.

On arrival, the pharmacist advised she had received a forged prescription for Oxycodone for Gregory Thompkins. The man that had submitted the forged prescription to the pharmacy was located in the store and identified as George P. Schaffer, age 25 of Mechanicsvill.

George P. Schaffer was arrested at taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Counterfeiting a Prescription to obtain Oxcodone with Acetaminpphen.
