Huge Charlotte Hall Car Show Draws Large Crowd

Lots of cars and lots of people! That’s the best way to describe the 25th Annual Coming Out Car and Bike Show at the Charlotte Hall center sponsored by the Southern Knights Rod and Custom Club.  Organizers estimate 637 cars and bikes, and more than 3,000 spectators attended the show, which is believed to be the largest ever.

The weather was picture perfect and the representing most decades of automotive history were spit and polished for the spectators. There was plenty of food and numerous vendors on hand as well.

According to Ed Mattingly of the club, proceeds from the show go to a number of charities including the Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association, three food banks, and local scouting organizations. The next event on the schedule is a rally on Mother’s Day weekend that will start from the Charlotte Hall Center and go 100 miles through five counties. Proceeds go to the Charlotte Hall Veteran’s Home.
