MSP Barrack "T" Crime Blotter
St. Mary's County, MD - 5/26/2011
Warrant Service – On Monday, May 23, 2011 at 7:33pm, TFC E. J. Page served an Arrest Warrant (T3-14948) on Travis Jermaine Walton, 28, of an Unknown Fixed Address. The warrant was issued for Mr. Walton’s arrest on May 17, 2011 by the District Court of St. Mary’s County. The original charge was Fraud – Per Identification to Avoid Prosecution. Mr. Walton was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (1182005050)
Drug Arrest – On Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1:01am, TFC M. J. Pitcher initiated a traffic stop on a Blue Lexus in the area of Maryland Route 235 and Maryland Route 4 for a traffic violation, however, the vehicle did not come to a stop until the area just south of Wildewood Boulevard. Upon making contact with the operator, identified as Robert Lee McDowney, 36, of Lexington Park, TFC Pitcher detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Mr. McDowney’s breath. Standardized Field Sobriety was performed and Mr. McDowney successfully completed it. Based on multiple criminal indicators and additional previous actions during the stop, a K-9 scan was performed on the vehicle, with a positive indicator from the K-9 unit. Subsequently, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing CDS in the vehicle. Mr. McDowney was arrested for Possession of CDS – Cocaine and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
