Calvert Men Arrested in St. Mary's on Drug Charges

On January 2, 2011 at 11:58 p.m., TFC C. M. Evans conducted a traffic stop on a black Chrysler in the area of 22741 Three Notch Road in California for a traffic violation.

Upon making contact with the driver, Matthew Lee Lukas, 22 of Lusby, TFC Evans detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. Lukas exited the vehicle to perform a field sobriety test. After unsatisfactorily completing the test, Lukas was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

A search incident to arrest revealed CDS in the vehicle. Lukas was additionally charged with the CDS Possession. 

Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
