Three Vehicle Accident Backs Up Traffic in Dunkirk

On Thursday, Dec. 9, at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad responded to a reported auto accident with multiple vehicles involved along northbound Route 4 and Chaney Road in Dunkirk.
When units arrived they discovered that there was a three-car accident with injuries. One crash victim was treated on the scene and transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
The fire equipment cleared the scene around 6:45 a.m., but police still needed to deal with vehicle removal and other duties. The backup impacted morning rush for a while until everything was cleared.
