Gravy Assault at WaWa

On January 10, 2010 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Deputy D. Harris was in the WaWa Store in California, .when he observed a disturbance in the rear of the parking lot. 

Deputy Harris walked over to the individuals involved in the disturbance.  Deputy Harris observed a female with brown gravy sauce covering her face and hair.  The victim stated she was involved in a verbal dispute with a male inside of the WaWa.  The male threw gravy in her face and was now attempting to leave in his vehicle. 

Deputy Harris stopped the suspect vehicle and identified the driver as Mark Stephen Leishear, 49 of Solomons. The victim identified Leishear as the person who threw the gravy on her.  Deputy Harris detained Leishear as he investigated further.  Deputy Harris located additional witnesses who observed Leishear assault the victim. 

Leishear was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
