UPDATE: Snow Closings and Delays: Charles Closed, St. Mary's Closed, Calvert 2 hr Delay

ST. MARY'S
St. Mary's County Public Schools will be CLOSED Friday, Jan. 8
Code 2 for Employees

St. Mary''s County Govt
Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 a.m. St. Mary''s County Govt is open with a liberal leave policy in effect for employees. STS transit buses are running on time; no transportation provided today for Senior Centers or Ripple Center.

St. Mary''s County Circuit court will open at 10:30 a.m. St. Mary's District Court will open at 10 a.m. Snowfall accumulations are expected to reach 1-3 inches. Use caution while driving.

St. Mary's Recreation and Parks
The Great Mills Pool will open at 9 a.m. Programs in the public schools, including the School Age Centers, are closed for the day. An announcement regarding Saturday Youth Basketball will be made no later than 1 p.m. today.


UPDATE 5:17 a.m.

CALVERT COUNTYCalvert County Public Schools Opening 2 Hours Late

School opening will be delayed 2 hours due to inclement weather. No AM Pre-Kindergarten.
The workday for 10 and 11-month employees will begin 30 minutes before the scheduled student starting time.
12-month employees, including emergency personnel, report on time.
Food service workers report on time.

CHARLES COUNTY
Charles County Public Schools will be closed today, Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, due to inclement weather. There is a code two for staff who follow the code system.

Snow has left parts of our region with accumulations ranging from a dusting up to an inch and a half.  Road conditions appear to clear thanks to the pre-treatment. Be cautious of black ice and take it slow out there.
