The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the citizens of Calvert County to make sure that all doors and windows of their homes are always locked and to lock all vehicles, secure the keys, and put technical devices such as Ipods, GPS systems, cameras and cell phones out of sight. 

These acts, which take only minutes to do each day, will help to prevent unwanted theft and damage to personal property.  This reminder comes after a recent rash of thefts from automobiles in the Prince Frederick and Huntingtown areas in which almost every vehicle had been left unlocked.  Additionally, a vehicle was stolen after being left unlocked with the keys inside.
