DWI Offender Arrested Twice in One Week

On Oct. 31 at 9:41 p.m. St. Mary’s County Sheriffs pulled over a white Chevrolet van after receiving multiple complaints about erratic driving. A witness stopped and waited for police after reporting the incident.

Pulled over was Robert Eugene Bailey, 45 of Lexington Park. The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of northbound Three Notch Road and Chancellors Run Rd. Bailey was charged with multiple offenses including: Attempt by Driver to Elude Police in Official Vehicle by Failing to Stop, (Driving, attempting to drive) Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, (Driving, attempting to drive) Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol, Driving a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended License and Driving a Motor Vehicle on Highway or Public Use Property on a Revoked License.

Bailey is no stranger to arrest. He has been arrested many times all over Maryland over the past 20 years. Just six days prior to this incident on Oct. 24 at 6 a.m., he was taken into custody at Three Notch Road and Point Lookout Road and received similar charges, including  (Driving, attempting to drive) Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol and driving on a suspended license.
