Woman Burglarized Shed Then Heads to Pawn Shop

On Oct. 26 at 1:38 p.m., officers responded to the 10800 block of Willets Crossing Road in White Plains for the report of a theft in progress.
According to the victim, the suspect broke into his shed and stole tools and other equipment. As officers responded, the victim provided a description of the suspect and the vehicle in which she fled. Officers canvassed the area and located the suspect’s car in front of a pawn shop on Middleport Lane; the suspect was already inside the business trying to pawn the stolen property. The suspect was positively identified and placed under arrest. Officers found the stolen property inside the car and retuned it to the victim. Officers also found marijuana inside the car.
The suspect, Jamie Veronica Thomas, 39 of Waldorf, was charged with burglary, theft under $1,000, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
