Stolen Property Recovered in Burglar's Storage Unit

On October 22, at approximately 2:30 p.m., St. Mary’s County BCI detectives arrested David Carroll Gass, 49 of no fixed address and charged him with first-degree burglary, theft over $10,000 and violation of a protective order.
Detectives determined Gass forced entry into a residence in Leonardtown and removed property from the victim’s home. Detectives executed a search & seizure warrant on a storage unit, rented by Gass, and recovered the stolen property.
Gass was incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
