On Wednesday, Oct. 21 at approximately 7:15 p.m., police and  emergency units from Lexington Park, Bay District and Hollywood responded to the scene of an accident with reported personal injuries. When units arrived at the crash site near 22741 Three Notch Rd. in California, there was a single vehicle and a single crash victim.

A witness reported seeing a red car involved in the crash, then leaving the scene. No other description of the vehicle was provided. A few minutes later another reported accident was reported on Pegg Road. That also reportedly involved a red car that sped from the scene. Authorities do not know if it was the same vehicle as that described at the first scene.

The crash victim was treated on the scene and transported to the hospital by ambulance. Authorities are investigating this accident further. Anyone witnessing the crash is asked to contact the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office at (301) 475-4200 ext. 1900.
