Enjoy all the festivities of fall in Downtown Leonardtown on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. The fun begins from 1 to 3 p.m. when the Southern Maryland Artisan Center sponsors “Scarecrow Making” on the Square.  The cost is $8 per scarecrow and includes all supplies to make a life-size scarecrow, perfect for fall decorating.

Then between 3 and 4 p.m., children, accompanied by a parent or guardian, can dress up in their Halloween costumes and walk around the Leonardtown Square “trick-or-treating” with participating downtown merchants.

Children are encouraged to bring a goodie bag for their candy and treats!  This free, kid-fun activity with plenty of treats is sponsored by the Leonardtown Business Association.  For more information, call the Commissioners of Leonardtown at (301) 475-9791.

There is more fun as well when the Leonardtown Church of the Nazarene, the Church on the Square, will hold it’s a Fall Festival & Fun Fair on from 1 to 5 p.m.

The event will have plenty of crafts, food, candy, music and carnival games sure to please everyone!

All proceeds go to support the church’s Youth Programs. Free Hot Chocolate outside and tons of fun inside!  For more details or to volunteer, please contact Donna French: (301) 351-9242.
