Rear-Ender Sends Three to Hospital

At approximately 5:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad had a report of an auto accident on Route 2 and Federal Oak Drive in Huntingtown. Upon arrival, rescue crews discovered a rear-end collision with three patients needing transport to local hospitals. Two teenagers, 17 and 15 were passengers in the Honda which collided with the rear of a Blue Jeep driven by a single male. The impact of the crash was such that the Jeep was shoved a full hundred feet beyond the intersection. The accident is still under investigation by Calvert Sherriff’s department. |
