The Calverton School invites all individuals and families to a Haunted Halloween 5K Cross Country Race and 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run on Saturday, October 31, at 10 a.m.

Registration is $25 per person and includes a race Tshirt. All proceeds benefit the Colin F. Shaw, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by County Commissioner Susan Shaw and her family in 1996. It provides financial assistance to Calverton students who have experienced the death of a parent during their tenure at Calverton. To date, the scholarship fund has awarded more than $20,000 to worthy students.

The race and fun run will wind through the woods, meadows, and farmland that form part of Calverton’s 153-acre campus. “We have many beautiful and well-maintained trails,” said Head of School Dan Hildebrand. “We’re delighted to share them with our friends and neighbors in what will hopefully become an annual tradition.”
