Emergency Preparedness Kits Available for Seniors

Emergency Preparedness Go-Kits will be filled by volunteers on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Lane Apartments in Leonardtown for distribution to vulnerable senior citizens in St. Mary’s County. The kits will contain basic items including first aid kits, bottled water, individual meal bars, and important information. “These kits will contain the basic items that every resident should have if they need to leave their home in a hurry,” states Jaclyn Shaw, St. Mary’s County Department of Public Safety Emergency Manager.
