St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Detectives received information that Suspect Andrew Leo Sewell, 20 of Lexington Park was distributing marijuana. As the investigation continued, purchases of marijuana made from Sewell. After a case review by State’s Attorney Richard D. Fritz, the case was presented to the Grand Jury and an arrest indictment was issued. Sewell was originally held without bond.

In another investigation, Vice Narcotics Detectives conducted several undercover operations in the Hollywood area. During the ongoing operation, purchases of marijuana were made from Christopher John Anthony, 23 of Hollywood. A case review with State’s Attorney Richard D. Fritz resulted in the Grand Jury indicting Anthony. He was charged with “Distribution of Marijuana” and “Conspiring to Distribute Marijuana”. He was originally held in a “No Bond” status.
