St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Detectives received information that Suspect Eric Robinson, 23, of Callaway, was distributing prescription medication. That medication, Oxycontin and Percocet, was being sold at various locations throughout St. Mary’s County. An investigation was initiated and lasted several weeks.

A Search and Seizure Warrant was obtained and Robinson was located in his vehicle by Vice Narcotics Detectives. A Search revealed 15 Percocet pills. Robinson was arrested and additional charges are pending.

St. Mary’s Vice Narcotics Detectives were contacted by staff of the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in regards to a contraband investigation. Detectives worked with Detention Center staff and three suspects were identified. One of the Suspect Charles Edwin Compton, 22, of Leonardtown was an inmate that had a Trustee position that would take him outside the building.

A second inmate, Phillip Jerome Ford aka “PJ,” 31 of Charlotte Hall had conspired with his girlfriend, Tykeya Juanita Brawner, 28 of Mechanicsville to position a quantity of marijuana outside the facility. The plan was for  Compton to obtain the marijuana during his course of cleanup and bring it into the Detention Center to Ford. Once inside Compton was searched and the contraband was discovered. After a case review by the State’s Attorney, the case was presented to the Grand Jury which resulted in three indictments being issued. All three suspects have been charged and are in various stages of adjudication.

Information was received by Vice Narcotics Detectives that Laura Lynn Campbell, 49 and her husband Michael Ray Campbell, 48 of Piney Point were selling cocaine from their residence. Detectives began an investigation and during the course of the investigation undercover purchases of cocaine were made. After a State’s Attorney’s review the two suspects were indicted and subsequently charged with “Distribution” and “Conspiring to Distribute Cocaine”. They were arrested and held without bail.

Vice Narcotics Detectives began an investigation into William Joseph-Leo Brown, 31 of Lexington Park and his distribution of cocaine in the Lexington Park area. Detectives conducted the investigation over several months and began making purchases of cocaine from the suspect. He has been indicted on numerous counts related to the sale of cocaine and was originally being held in a “No Bond” status.

An anonymous tip was called into the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Division that Suspect Timothy Clayton Dixon, aka “Timmy”, was moving a large amount of cocaine with the assistance of several other suspects. Detectives began to follow up on that lead which led to undercover purchases of cocaine being made. Suspect Dixon was indicted and arrested on “Distribution of Cocaine” charges.

During the execution of a Search and Seizure Warrant on a Lexington Park home Suspect James Andrew Stewart, 28 of California was found to be in possession of cocaine and more than $1,600 in cash. He was indicted for “Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute” and his money was seized.
